The referral programme, in full.
Read the terms before you apply. Commission is based on qualifying payments actually received, and promotion must be accurate, permission-based and within the rules.

Who can join
The programme is open to individuals and businesses aged 18 or over, based in the United Kingdom, who can lawfully receive payment from us. Every application is reviewed by a person and we may decline one without giving a detailed reason. Membership is personal to you and cannot be transferred without written agreement.
- Clause 2
Your code and link
On approval we issue a unique referral code and tracked link. The code doubles as a discount code: a landlord who enters it gets 50% off their first 3 months on any paid Kept plan. We choose the final code and will honour a reasonable request where it is available and not misleading.
- Clause 3
Attribution
A link click records a first-party cookie for 90 days. An account created within that window is credited to you. Entering your code at checkout also credits you. First touch wins, and an existing account cannot be retrospectively credited at signup.
- Clause 4
Commission
You earn 30% of what Kept actually receives from a referred customer, excluding VAT, for 12 months from their first successful payment. Free plans, trials, failed payments and refunded payments earn nothing. Commission on discounted months is calculated on the discounted amount. A different rate or duration may apply to an individual member and is shown in their toolkit.
- Clause 5
Payment
We pay in the first week of each month for the month before, once accrued commission exceeds £25.00. Anything below rolls forward. We issue a self-billing statement; payment details are arranged directly after approval and never through a web form. You are responsible for any tax due.
- Clause 6
How you may promote Kept
Promote Kept in your own words, and only say things about it that are true. Do not claim to be Kept, imply an endorsement beyond the product, invent claims or penalty figures, bid on Kept brand terms in paid search, list on coupon or cashback sites, send unsolicited messages or create self-referrals. Kept is compliance software, not legal advice.
Allowed
- Your own site, blog, newsletter, channel or social accounts
- Cards, stickers, QR codes and printed material you hand out in person
- Forums and groups you take part in, where the rules permit it
- Recommending Kept to customers and clients you already work with
- Email to a list that opted in to hear from you
Not allowed
- Bidding on 'Kept', 'usekept' or close variants in paid search
- Coupon, cashback and voucher-aggregator listings
- Unsolicited email, SMS or messaging - anything that would embarrass us both
- Claiming to be Kept, or implying we endorse anything beyond the product
- Signing up your own accounts, or asking someone to sign up on your behalf
- Legal advice of any kind attributed to Kept, or invented penalty figures
- Clause 7
Your data and theirs
Your toolkit shows aggregate clicks, signups, conversion rate, commission and anonymised referral records. It never shows a referred person's name, email, phone number, property address or compliance status. Click tracking uses a first-party cookie, a random visitor identifier and a salted IP hash; raw IP addresses are not stored against clicks.
- Clause 8
Changing or ending the arrangement
You can leave at any time and accrued commission is paid at the next payment run. We may suspend or end membership for rule breaches, fraud or programme closure, and will explain a rule breach. Changes to commission never apply retrospectively to attached referrals; existing referrals continue for their agreed period if the programme is discontinued.
- Clause 9
Liability and law
Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Otherwise, total liability under the programme is limited to the commission payable to you in the twelve months before the claim. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
